From little acorns, mighty oaks grow
The government is funding schools in England to provide every child in reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with a hot, nutritious meal at lunchtime. The aim is to improve academic attainment and save families money as over the course of a year, the average family spends £437 on school lunches per child.
KS2 can still buy a school lunch by requesting this when the teacher calls the dinner register each day; jacket potatoes are always available as an alternative to the main meal but must be ordered at registration.
Our school meals are provided by Caterlink at a cost of £2.30 per day. If you would like to set up an account to pay for meals online, please ask the school office for a unique code, then go to: https://caterlinkltd.co.uk/school/kent-county-council/
